Plans and limits
What each plan reads, its pace and its allowance.
Every limit comes from the same settings the API enforces, so this table is always right. Prices and upgrades are on pricing.
| Plan | Reads | Calls a minute | Allowance | Keys |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free key | yesterday's listings and the directory | 30 | 200 calls a day | 1 |
| Live | 7 days back to 7 days ahead, shows, and 90 days of patterns and statistics | 120 | 300,000 calls a month | 1 |
| Complete | 7 days back to 7 days ahead, shows, and all time of patterns and statistics | 600 | no monthly limit | 5 |
The free key
Real data, never a sandbox: yesterday's listings on every channel and the whole directory. Shows, patterns and statistics answer the free key with an empty result and a note naming the plan, so code written against the free key keeps working after an upgrade. A whole country's day, XMLTV and the weekly charts answer upgrade_required.
Pace and allowance
The pace is calls per minute across all your keys. Over it, you get rate_limited with Retry-After. The allowance is per day on the free key and per month on Live; when it is used you get quota_exceeded with when it resets. Complete has no allowance, only its pace. Days and months turn over at midnight UTC.
Checking where you are
/v1/usage gives your plan, calls today and this month, your limits, when each resets and the window your plan reads. It is never counted.
